DAC’s ReUse Program
The DAC has a ReUse Program that allows individuals to receive free adaptive equipment to assist them with maintaining their independence.
Items may include:
- Hospital Beds
- Manual/Power wheelchairs
- Walkers
- Bedside commodes
- Shower chairs
Community members donate assistive technology/adaptive equipment to the DAC so that others may benefit from the equipment. A tax receipt is available at the time of the donation.

SC Assistive Technology Program
The DAC works closely with the SC Assistive Technology Program to find equipment for our consumers. The SCATP also has an Assistive Technology Exchange to assists individuals with disabilities to find affordable assistive technology equipment. View their flyer here.
Adaptive Equipment Donations
