The Disability Action Center benefits from the unique skills and time given by individual community members volunteering and interning in its offices, at events and on special projects. Although the Disability Action Center accepts volunteers for various needs, the volunteer listings below are greatly needed.
Peer Support Volunteer
Opportunities are currently available to volunteer as a Peer Supporter with the Disability Action Center. Peer Supporters have personal experience with disabilities, and work with others, alone and in small groups, to seek solutions and better independent living options, or just to be a friend.
Assistive Technology Volunteer
Opportunities are currently available to volunteer with the DAC’s Re-Use Program. Volunteers are needed to help organize, transport, clean, and demonstrate the use of AT equipment.
